The neo-Nazi movement "Movimiento Nacional Socialista Despierta Perú" (MNSDP
- National Socialist Movement "Peru Awake") was founded in 2000 in Lima. The
name of the movement most probably recalls the Nazi song "Deutschland erwache!"
(Germany awake!). The MNSDP, with branches in Puno, Trujillo and Chiclayo, is
mostly active on the Internet. The group announced they plan to merge with the
other "creole" neo-Nazi groups to form the Unión Nacional Socialista Peruana
(UNSP, Peruvian National Socialist Union) and celebrate Hitler's 120th birthday.

The flag of MNSDP - or, at least, a Peruvian neo-Nazi flag, as presented on a
photo by a group of neo-Nazis, is quartered per saltire red-white, with, in the
middle, a white disk bordered in black and charged with a black, solid "odal"
rune.

The quartered flag recalls the first flag of Peru,
prescribed on 21 October 1820 by General San Martín. The "odal"
rune is a popular neo-Nazi symbol.

The link to the source cited above (http://www.cronicaviva.com.pe/content/view/91229/271/)
is dead now. However, there is another source:
http://utero.pe/2009/05/26/neonazis-en-peru/utero,
which reports about the group, along with the photo of their flag.
Their own website was reduced to a link to the website of Peruvian
National Socialist Union by the end of 2008, to become fully defunct
in 2011 [1]. The photo which was shown on the remnant homepage [2] was
showing people carrying flags of MNSDP, the Cross of Burgundy flag and
a flag which is not completely visible, but could have been that of
the National Socialist Tercios of New Castile.
